The Deep Foundations Institute (DMI)
Chesterfield is a member of DMI (Deep Foundations Institute). DMI is an international association of contractors, engineers, manufacturers, suppliers, academics and owners in the deep foundations industry. The association promotes a shared voice and vision for continual improvement in the planning, design and construction of deep foundations and excavations. DFI supports over 3,300 members, including Chesterfield Associates Inc. by providing opportunities for networking, education, communication and collaboration.
In partnership with the members, DFI promotes the advancement of the deep foundations industry through technical committees, educational programs and conferences, research, government relations and outreach.
Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC)
Chesterfield Associates, Inc. has been a member in good standing for fifteen years with Associated Builders & Contractors, (ABC) Empire State Chapter. Jeffrey Grube, Chesterfield’s General Manager served as the Chairman of the Empire State Chapter in 2006, and as the the regional Council Chairman for the Long Island/Metro Region of the ABC for 2003 and 2004.
ABC’s Empire Chapter covers one of the largest regions Chesterfield serves. It covers the Bronx, Kings, Nassau, New York, Orange, Putnam, Queens, Richmond, Rockland, Suffolk, Sullivan, and Westchester counties with over 150 contractor members.
ABC provides support and services ranging from apprenticeship craft training to safety training to professional development. In addition, ABC provides craft training across popular trades and nationally-recognized curriculum-based training in over 50 different trades.
Guild of Professional Helical Pile Installers
Chesterfield Associates, Inc. is a Founding Member of The Guild of Professional Helical Pile Installers and Jeffrey Grube serves as Controller of that organization.
The Guild of Professional Helical Pile Installer fulfills a mission is to identify, promote, defend and honor the most qualified, skilled and worthy helical pile installers.
The Guild advances its common objectives which results in greater member awareness, improved member reputation, protection of the highest standards for quality installations, increased support and standards from suppliers and greater control over the increasing confusion caused by non-professional helical pile installers.
The Pile Driving Contractors Association (PDCA)
The Pile Driving Contractors Association (PDCA) is an organization of pile driving contractors that advocates the increased use of driven piles for deep foundations and earth retention systems. The Association supports educational programs for engineers and contractors focusing on the design and efficiency of driven piles and improving installation procedures. The PDCA supports research that improves the reliability, usefulness, and cost effectiveness of driven piles.
The PDCA offers contractors a larger voice in establishing procedures and standards for the installation and design of driven piles.
