Rock Revetments are sloping structures constructed of various layers of large stone along the coastline, designed with the sole purpose of absorbing incoming waters and ultimately protecting from shoreline erosion. Rock Jetties are built perpendicular to the coastline to control the movement of sand in attempt to either protect a coastline from erosion or prevent a shipping channel from filling with sand. With Chesterfield’s equipment and resources, we’re equipped to protect the bluffs of North Shore Long Island and the river and marina channels along the bays of the South Shore.
